Port of Hai Phong was established in 1874, closely associated with the development of Hai Phong City and maritime activities in northern Vietnam. In its early stage, the port was developed from the boat docks of Cam Village into a military and commercial port serving colonial exploitation purposes.
The first major construction project was a system of six warehouses, known as Ben Sau Kho, laying the foundation for the long-term development of Port of Hai Phong as a key seaport of the region and the country.
Aim to modernize, provide the best service to customers, improve service quality, apply information technology to improve delivery procedures, electronic payment and convenient delivery. in the direction of simplicity, speed, and convenience, reducing the time taken for customers to come directly to the port to transact, reduce the time for cars to stop and park at the port gates for check-in procedures and reduce traffic congestion at the port.
Hai Phong Port is the port with the largest cargo throughput in the North of Vietnam, with a system of modern equipment and complete and safe infrastructure, suitable for international trade and transport modes.
