Port of Hai Phong
150 years on the international maritime map
Port of Hai Phong was established in 1874, closely associated with the development of Hai Phong City and maritime activities in northern Vietnam. In its early stage, the port was developed from the boat docks of Cam Village into a military and commercial port serving colonial exploitation purposes.
The first major construction project was a system of six warehouses, known as Ben Sau Kho, laying the foundation for the long-term development of Port of Hai Phong as a key seaport of the region and the country.
