TAN VU TERMINAL BRANCH (PORT OF HAI PHONG) WELCOMES DONGJIN SHIPPING’S NEW SERVICE

On the morning of March 28, Tan Vu Terminal Branch (Port of Hai Phong) held a ceremony to welcome Dongjin Venus, the first vessel of Dongjin Shipping to call at the port, officially marking the launch of a new container shipping service connecting Northeast Asia with Hai Phong.

After many years of maintaining an effective partnership with Port of Hai Phong, Dongjin Shipping has selected Tan Vu Terminal as a port of call in its plan to develop a new service route, further affirming the operational potential and competitive advantages of Port of Hai Phong in the region. The service rotation is: Incheon – Qingdao – Hai Phong – Shekou – Xiamen – Incheon, providing a direct connection between Vietnam, South Korea, and China.

To operate this service, Dongjin Shipping is cooperating with Dongyoung Shipping and Pan Continental Shipping, aiming to expand market share and enhance service quality in the Hai Phong market.

At the ceremony, Lê Minh Hải, Head of the Business Department of Port of Hai Phong, expressed his pleasure in welcoming the first vessel of Dongjin Shipping to call at Tan Vu Terminal. He emphasized that this event marks an important milestone in the cooperative relationship between the two parties. The representative of Port of Hai Phong’s leadership highly appreciated Dongjin Shipping’s position as one of the leading container shipping lines in South Korea with an extensive operational network. He also affirmed that Tan Vu Terminal, with its integrated infrastructure system, modern equipment, advanced information technology applications, and high-quality services, is always ready to effectively meet the operational needs of international shipping lines.

Mr. Lê Minh Hải also extended his sincere appreciation to Dongjin Shipping and its partners and agents for their trust in selecting Tan Vu Terminal. At the same time, he acknowledged and thanked the continued coordination and support of state management authorities, including Customs and Border Guard forces, for facilitating port operations in recent times.

The launch of this new service not only contributes to diversifying the shipping network and enhancing the connectivity capacity of Port of Hai Phong, but also opens up opportunities to attract additional cargo flows and promote logistics and import–export activities in Northern Vietnam.
