Hoang Dieu Chua Ve Port Collaborates with Dinh Vu Port to Successfully Handle Oversized and Heavy-Lift Cargo Shipment

In the early morning of April 28, 2026, the vessel YONG HONG ZHOU, operated by Clio Shipping Line, berthed at Dinh Vu Port – a subsidiary of Port of Hai Phong – carrying more than 21,700 tons of steel products and oversized, heavy-lift equipment designated for the assembly of Xuan Khiem Group’s cement plant. This shipment marked a significant operation jointly executed through close coordination between two Port of Hai Phong subsidiaries: Dinh Vu Port and Hoang Dieu – Chua Ve Port.

Leveraging the specialized expertise and extensive experience of Hoang Dieu Chua Ve Port in handling project cargo and heavy equipment, together with the professional operational management capabilities of Dinh Vu Port, the entire cargo handling operation was completed safely and on schedule within 86 hours. The effective and seamless cooperation between the two units not only demonstrated a highly organized operational capability, but also reaffirmed Port of Hai Phong’s capacity to handle specialized cargo requiring advanced technical standards and strict safety controls.

The successful handling of this vessel further reinforces the reputation and service quality of Port of Hai Phong, strengthening the confidence of both domestic and international partners and customers, while enhancing the port’s position within the maritime and logistics industry.

In the context of major container shipping routes gradually shifting toward the Lach Huyen deep-sea port area, proactively expanding bulk cargo operations — particularly oversized and heavy-lift project cargo — has been identified as a strategic direction to maintain and increase cargo throughput at upstream port areas. Through optimizing resources and strengthening internal collaboration among member units, Port of Hai Phong continues to diversify its cargo structure, expand its logistics service ecosystem, and improve overall operational efficiency.

In the coming period, Port of Hai Phong will continue refining its internal coordination mechanisms toward greater flexibility and efficiency, while intensifying workforce training and enhancing the professional expertise and operational skills of its employees. At the same time, the port will continuously improve operational processes to further enhance customer service quality.

Particularly for oversized and heavy-lift cargoes — which require stringent technical and safety standards — Port of Hai Phong remains committed to delivering optimal handling solutions tailored to customers’ operational requirements.

With a sustainable development orientation and a flexible operational strategy, Port of Hai Phong continues to affirm its role as the leading seaport operator in Northern Vietnam, contributing significantly to the development of national logistics and supply chain activities.
