On July 1, 2026, in Hanoi, Port of Hai Phong Joint Stock Company and Saigon Port Joint Stock Company—two member companies of Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC)—together with MSC Vietnam Co., Ltd., the world's largest container shipping line, and MEDLOG Vietnam Holding Co., Ltd., one of the world's leading providers of logistics and supply chain management services, signed a strategic cooperation agreement, marking a new chapter of collaboration among leading enterprises in the port, shipping, and logistics industries.
The signing ceremony was attended by Ms. Trinh Thi Ngoc Bien, Head of Business Development at Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC); Mr. Pham Hong Minh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Port of Hai Phong Joint Stock Company; Mr. Le Hong Quan, Member of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Port of Hai Phong Joint Stock Company; Mr. Benoit de Quillacq, Chief Executive Officer of MSC Vietnam Co., Ltd.; Mr. Nguyen Le Chon Tam, Chief Executive Officer of Saigon Port Joint Stock Company; along with representatives from the participating organizations.
By combining the port operation capabilities and logistics infrastructure of VIMC's two key subsidiaries with MSC's extensive global shipping network and international management expertise, the partnership is expected to establish an integrated, efficient, and highly competitive logistics service network.

Under the agreement, the parties will jointly research, develop, and implement integrated logistics services nationwide while maximizing the value of strategic infrastructure projects, including Lach Huyen Deep-water Port Terminals 3 & 4 in Hai Phong and Can Gio International Transshipment Port in Ho Chi Minh City. These projects are expected to serve as two critical hubs in building a modern logistics network that seamlessly connects Vietnam's port infrastructure with international shipping routes.

The cooperation agreement further reinforces Port of Hai Phong's leading role in advancing the port and logistics development strategy within the VIMC ecosystem. Building on the successful partnership with MSC at Lach Huyen Deep-water Port Terminals 3 & 4, the expanded collaboration with MEDLOG and Saigon Port is expected to strengthen Vietnam's position as a key link in the global supply chain while further enhancing the international standing of the country's maritime and logistics industry.
