To improve container handling capacity of Tan Cang Terminal The Port of Hai Phong Joint Stock Company in Dinh Vu Industrial Park
With the aim of meeting increasingly high demand of customers, step by step implementing the guideline on investment extending ports in ocean direction subject to the Resolution No. 32 of the Politburo and the Decision No. 885 of the Prime Minister on approval of the Detailed Planning of group of northern seaports. From 16/6/2014 to 24/6/2014, the Port of Hai Phong Joint Stock Company (the Port of Hai Phong) had removed 02 quayside cranes (QC5, QC6) specialized in container loading/unloading, of which tare weight is 520 tons per each, from Chua Ve Terminal to Tan Cang Terminal in the area of Dinh Vu Industrial Park using waterway-roadway combined modal. These were project cargo for which safety was seriously taken into account since only one unsafe factor may result in congestion of the whole navigation channel and interruption of business and production activities of ports in the area of Hai Phong.
During movement of the cranes, along with consideration and support from the State agencies, the leaders of the Port were always present to supervise, direct concern departments, divisions, units to timely settle matters arisen out, ensuring successful movement of 2 cranes.
By 25 June 2014, the two cranes named QC5, QC6 had been completely assembled in Tan Cang.Terminal in a state of operational readiness
