In implementation with announcement about conclusion of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc regarding to assigning Vietnam National Shipping Lines through Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company to invest in two wharves in Hai Phong International Gateway Port (Lach Huyen Terminal), on February 3rd, 2017, Vietnam National Shipping Lines worked with Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company about executing investment and development plans in Lach Huyen Terminal.
In this meeting, Board of Management of Corporation listened to reports of Hai Phong Port and Works Consultation and Maritime Construction Joint Stock Company (Consulter) with title of “Proposal for investment project in constructing two wharves No. 3, 4 and Logistics service zone under Hai Phong International Gateway Port of Hai Phong Port”
According to Hai Phong Port, investment in developing wharves in Lach Huyen is expectation and aspiration of cadres and workers of Hai Phong Port for many years. Hoang Dieu Branch is located deeply in urban zone, on Cam River bank, and the City had policy of moving this terminal. Investment in Lach Huyen not only helps Port to expand and develop production and business, but also creates conditions for city to enlarge urban area with modern and civilized orientation, ensures consonance between economic development and environmental protection. Currently, the Port readily prepared conditions about human, finance and other technologies for investment in Lach Huyen area.
On his speech in the meeting, Mr. Le Anh Son – Chairman of Member Council of Corporation required Hai Phong Port to quickly complete report on investment research of project and present it to competent agencies for approval, which facilitates Hai Phong Port to execute construction of two wharves No. 3, 4 and Logistics service zone under Hai Phong International Gateway Port in 2017.
