Upon completion, Dinh Vu and Tan Vu Terminals under the Port of Hai Phong will be able to accommodate vessels of up to 55,000 DWT and 250 meters in length (partially loaded), facilitating efficient cargo operations.

At the same time, the Port of Hai Phong and Dinh Vu Port Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (in which the Port of Hai Phong holds a controlling stake) are finalizing investment procedures for the procurement of four STS (ship-to-shore) cranes to enhance handling capacity. These cranes are designed with a lifting capacity of 50 tons under the hoisting beam and 40 tons under the spreader, a riverside outreach of 40 meters, a rail gauge of 20 meters, and a maximum lifting height of 30 meters measured from the top of the waterside rail to the bottom of the container spreader.

This strategic and methodical investment marks a crucial step in strengthening the Port of Hai Phong’s overall competitiveness, aligning with the global development trends in maritime transport, while also promoting regional economic growth and enhancing the efficiency of the logistics supply chain.
