At New Year’s Eve, Port of Hai Phong Joint Stock Company held the Welcome Ceremony of the First Shipment in 2019 at 03 terminals: Hoang Dieu, Chua Ve and Tan Vu.
Guests representing shipping lines, shippers, consignees, ship owners and state agencies joined the atmosphere with the staffs and employees of Port of Hai Phong to welcome the new year.
In 2018, the cadres and employees of Port of Hai Phong have overcome all difficulties and mastered dynamism and creativity to take grasp of the market, directed by the Board of Management’s decisiveness to propose suitable policies and solutions in order to attract cargo to the Port. The Port continuously makes expansion in infrastructure and facilities and invests in equipment, which create a prerequisite to meet customers' requirements. In the difficult situation, the Port continues to receive customers' sharing and loyalty and affirms the prestige which has existed for over 140 years as well as continues to create continued economic and social values for Hai Phong city. By the end of 2018, the consolidated throughput of Port of Hai Phong Joint Stock Company has reached 32.87 million tons; the consolidated revenue is VND 2,188.03 billion and the consolidated pre-tax profit reached VND 523.23 billion; and the Port maintains its position as the leading port in the North of Vietnam.

Ushering in 2019, the leaders and employees of Port of Hai Phong Joint Stock Company are determined to achieve the consolidated throughput of 32.9 million tons; the consolidated revenue of VND 2,036.24 billion; and the consolidated pre-tax profit is expected at VND 395.86 billion. At the same time, Port of Hai Phong needs to take urgent investment procedures for Lach Huyen Port Project, Relocation of Hoang Dieu Port Project, to meet the Master plan of the Ministry of Transport and Hai Phong City, enhances the competitiveness of Vietnam seaport in general and Hai Phong seaport in particular, and affirms the key role of Port of Hai Phong in the system of northern seaports./.

At 12am on January 1st, 2019, the first shipment was handled at Hoang Dieu Terminal from DERYOUNG SUNNYSKY vessel arriving from KAOHSIUNG port.
The first shipment was handled at Chua Ve Terminal from VINAFCO vessel, loading and unloading nearly 700 containers.
At Tan Vu Port Terminal, the first shipment was handled from QUEZON BRIDGE vessel of ONE shipping line.
