This is a significant political and economic event, selected by Quang Ninh Province as a flagship project to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
At the ceremony, Port of Hai Phong Joint Stock Company and Hai Phong Automobile Repair One Member Limited Liability Company signed a memorandum of understanding for research cooperation in the presence of central leaders, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province, along with representatives of various departments and sectors. According to the content of the agreement, the two parties agreed to cooperate in researching investment, operating the project for the construction and business of a general/container port along with logistics, warehousing, and port logistics services within the planning of the Bach Dang Industrial Park.
The scale of the cooperative project includes the construction of a general cargo/container terminal complex comprising three (03) berths, each with a length of approximately 225 meters. The berth system is designed to accommodate vessels with a deadweight tonnage ranging from 20,000 DWT to 50,000 DWT. In addition, the project includes a warehousing system and logistics and port auxiliary services, capable of handling an estimated cargo throughput of 3.0 to 3.5 million tons per year.

This collaboration leverages the strengths of the infrastructure at the advantageous location of the Bạch Đằng Industrial Park Investor and the leading management and exploitation capabilities of Port of Hai Phong in the northern region, meeting the demand for growth in import and export goods through northern coastal ports until 2030 and beyond.
