HOÀNG DIỆU CHÙA VẼ PORT SUCCESSFULLY HANDLE VESSEL CARRYING OVERSIZED AND HEAVY-LIFT CARGO

On March 13, 2026, Hoang Dieu – Chua Ve Port Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company) received and successfully handled the vessel CD Cherry of Dongjin Shipping, carrying multiple pieces of oversized and overweight cargo equipment.

The vessel CD Cherry, flying the Panamanian flag, has a length of 110.49 meters and a beam of 19.2 meters. Sailing from South Korea to Hải Phòng, the vessel berthed at 18:00 on March 13, 2026. The total cargo volume on board reached 6,432 tons, including 14 pieces of oversized and heavy-lift equipment requiring strict technical handling procedures.

The oversized and heavy-lift cargo includes: 2 units weighing 92 tons, 3 units weighing 77 tons, 2 units weighing 63 tons, 1 unit weighing 55 tons, 2 units weighing 32 tons, 1 unit weighing 30 tons, and 3 units weighing 41 tons. These pieces are all large-scale and heavy equipment, requiring a carefully organized loading and unloading process to ensure absolute safety for the cargo, equipment, and workers.

Immediately after the vessel berthed, the management and workforce of Hoàng Diệu Chùa Vẽ Port promptly implemented operational plans, deployed specialized equipment, and organized production operations efficiently to handle the oversized and heavy-lift cargo in strict compliance with technical procedures. The operation was carried out safely and efficiently, meeting the schedule requirements of both the cargo owner and the shipping line.



According to the plan, after completing all cargo handling operations, CD Cherry is expected to depart the port on March 15, 2026 to continue its voyage.

The successful reception and handling of this vessel carrying oversized and heavy-lift cargo once again affirm the general cargo handling capability of Hoàng Diệu – Chùa Vẽ Port backed by 152 years of port operation experience, particularly in handling oversized and heavy cargo serving major national projects and infrastructure works. This achievement further reinforces the reputation, brand, and operational capacity of Hai Phong Port — the largest seaport in northern Vietnam and a key maritime gateway within the country’s logistics and maritime transport network.

The handling of the CD Cherry vessel also serves as a commemorative project celebrating the nation’s Election Day (March 15), reflecting the proactive working spirit and strong determination of the management and workforce of Hai Phong Port to successfully fulfill their production and business objectives.
