To mark the 22nd anniversary of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day (13 October 2004 – 13 October 2026), the Hai Phong People’s Committee held a meeting with local businesses on the morning of 13 October 2026 to listen to their feedback and proposals. The event, themed “Hai Phong Businesses – Building Strength Through Connectivity, Leading Through Innovation,” brought together representatives from the city’s business community. At the conference, Port of Hai Phong was honoured as one of the outstanding enterprises to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee in recognition of its positive contributions to the city’s socio-economic development.

An overview of the conference
The conference was attended by city leaders, representatives of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), and more than 600 delegates representing domestic enterprises and foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises. The event provided an opportunity to recognise the contributions of the business community while listening to and addressing their recommendations to resolve challenges, improve the investment and business environment, and promote connectivity and innovation.

The Certificate of Merit awarded by the city recognises Port of Hai Phong’s efforts in business operations and its contributions to the city’s overall development. With a history spanning more than 150 years, Port of Hai Phong has consistently affirmed its role as a key trade gateway for northern Vietnam, supporting the business community in import-export activities, transportation, and logistics.
Building on its proud legacy, Port of Hai Phong continues to invest in infrastructure development, enhance operational capacity, accelerate digital and green transformation, and improve service quality. In particular, the commissioning of Container Berths 3 and 4 at Hai Phong International Gateway Port (Lach Huyen) has strengthened the Port’s capacity to accommodate larger vessels, expanded cargo connectivity with international shipping routes, and facilitated import-export activities.
The Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee serves as a source of encouragement for all Port of Hai Phong employees to uphold the spirit of “Unity – Resilience – Creativity,” drive innovation, and improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency. The Port will continue to work alongside the business community and contribute to Hai Phong’s ambition to become a modern, internationally connected hub for the maritime economy, seaports, and logistics.
