On 29th April 2021, the General Meeting of Shareholders of the Port of Hai Phong JSC issued Decision No. 1215/QĐ-ĐHDCD to approve the construction project of Berth No. 3 and No. 4 in Hai Phong International Gateway Port (Lach Huyen Port system).
Right after receiving the approval, on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of Hai Phong Independence Day (13th May 1955 – 13th May 2021), on the morning of 12th May 2021, the Port held the kick-off ceremony for the Construction Project of Container Terminal No. 3 & 4 in Hai Phong International Gateway Port (Lach Huyen port system) at the company headquarter. The company sets to put the Container Berth No. 3 into operation in 2023 and complete the whole project by 2024, one year earlier than planned.
The investment policy of the Construction Project of Container Berth No. 3 & 4 in Hai Phong International Gateway Port has been approved by the Prime Minister under the Decision No. 1323/QD-TTg dated 09th October 2109, in which the Port of Hai Phong was assigned as the investor, with the aim of meeting the timelines construction projects and socio-economic development of Hai Phong city, serving the relocation of Hoang Dieu Port, and ensuring to promote the tradition as well as develop long-term competitive advantage of the company.
