China is currently the world’s largest producer and exporter of fireworks, accounting for 90% of global output. Only two ports in China are licensed to handle this specialized cargo, with Beibu Gulf Port serving as the central hub for the Guangxi region.
Following the successful trial voyage, the parties will assess operational performance and market demand to advance the launch of a regular, officially scheduled service. The new route is expected to boost trade between Guangxi and Vietnam, while enhancing Port of Hai Phong’s transshipment capacity for cargo bound for major markets such as the United States and Europe.
The launch of Beibu’s new service route marks a significant milestone in maritime cooperation between Vietnam and China and opens new opportunities for deeper collaboration among regional logistics enterprises. It further affirms Port of Hai Phong’s position as an international transshipment hub and a vital gateway connecting East Asia with global markets.
