In the first week of December 2025, the atmosphere at Tan Vu Terminal Branch (Port of Hai Phong Joint Stock Company) was more vibrant than ever as the 1 millionth TEU container was officially handled. This is a particularly important milestone, marking the fifth consecutive year in which the terminal has maintained throughput above the one-million-TEU threshold, affirming its role as one of the key container handling hubs in the northern region.

In 2025, the cargo throughput at Tan Vu Terminal increased by nearly 10% compared to 2024 and is expected to reach approximately 1.1 million TEU by the end of the year. This result not only reaffirms the terminal’s stable and sustainable growth trajectory but also makes an important contribution to the overall performance of Port of Hai Phong. This achievement plays a vital role in enabling Port of Hai Phong to become the first and only port in Northern Vietnam to surpass the 2-million-TEU milestone within the year, while also ensuring the effective operation of Lach Huyen Berths No. 3 and 4.
