AS RAFAELA makes maiden call at Port of Hai Phong on her SHX service

     On September 03rd 2021, Tan Vu Terminal – Port of Hai Phong held a ceremony to welcome AS RAFAELA on her SHX service jointly operated by Cosco and CU Lines as she made her first call at Tan Vu Terminal – Port of Hai Phong.

      SHX service offers an end-of-the-week window. The rotation is Ningbo - Shanghai - Shekou - Hai Phong - Xiao Chan Beach - Hong Kong. Being selected by Cosco – the Chinese largest container shipping line and one of the five biggest carriers in the world and CU Lines with more than 15 years of experience in logistics and shipping sector marks an important milestone in cooperative relationship between Port of Hai Phong and Cosco and CU Lines.

      Welcoming ceremony of AS RAFAELA’s arrival showcases reputation and capacity of Tan Vu Terminal as the largest container terminal in Northern Viet Nam with modern equipment, synchronous infrastructure and high performance, and the top shipping lines’ port of call. At the end of August 2021, Port of Hai Phong also enjoyed the addition of 15 trucks for Tan Vu Terminal to enhance equipment capacity of Port of Hai Phong and meet every customer requirements with best service quality.

      Port of Hai Phong in general and Tan Vu Terminal in particular will continue to strive for better service quality by simultaneously implementing solutions such as efficient yard planning, handling equipment utilization, more investment in equipment; improved advanced technology application and renovation, cargo handling procedure reform and more staff training. Additionally, Port of Hai Phong will take initiative to closely cooperate with state management authorities in providing shipping lines and customers with prompt solutions to dealt with arising problems in order to facilitate smooth and convenient cargo receipt and delivery.

      In parallel with effective operating solutions, Port of Hai Phong also strictly complies with Covid-19 control and prevention work, actively comes up with response plans to ensure the safety of port employees and customers as well as smooth port operation, and not to cause disruption to supply chains at one of the most critical links of the North.
