In May 2016, Trade Union of Port of Haiphong Joint Stock Company organized the peak stage of activities in answer to Workers’ Month launched by Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines, great attention is paid to the continuously implementational content of movement “where the workers’ difficulties exist, where Trade Union is present”. 42 working labourers injured by working accidents, traffic accidents, serious diseases, having specially difficult living condition … are visited, assisted with the total expenditures of 25.2 million dongs; At the same time, the “Cosy nest of family“ Fund of the company helped 04 cases of the working labourers suffering from serious diseases, 37 children infected by dioxin agent, innate invalids, innate heart-disease. The sons and daughters of cadres and working labourers having difficult living condition but overcoming difficulties to learn well are proposed to Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines to visit on the occasion of Month of Action for Children.
Midweek of May 2016, Trade Union of Haiphong port organized the delegation of cadres to check the working sites, accommodation & lodges for living activity and presented gifts to cadres and working labourers of Hoang Dieu port under working operation in Ha Long - Quang Ninh lighterage area; checked the actual conditions on board some of the ships under cargo operations at the anchorages of Toad island, Mieu island; supervised the implementation of working safety task, working protection when working in the heavily wavy and windy environment.
